OUR PHILOSOPHY

Peak Experience. Deep Connection. Real Meaning.

Positive workplace behavioural changes usually emerge from transformative personal experiences.

In the space of training and coaching, we believe in igniting the right spark among participants. Collectively, when the flame is fanned in unison, workplace relationships will improve and performance optimised.

In other words, focus on humanising workplace dynamics and a healthy workplace culture will emerge.

At Xcelerate, we deliver personalised programmes tailored to empower the human capital to activate peak experiences for work-life balance, develop deep connection with colleagues to build trust and unpack complex social meanings for an improved workplace communication climate.

In short, when the notion of self is healthy and lookout on life, hopeful; social dynamics at the workplace will evolve. Work teams begin to thrive, communication posture becomes more mindful and authentic; and leadership style takes on an empathetic yet authoritative posture.

PRINCIPAL TRAINER. FOUNDER

Meet Nick Jarvis Tan

I’ve been in the space of training, mentoring and public speaking since my teens as a youth leader. Under the guidance of trained mentors, I developed a listening posture and honed my relational skills to communicate empathy when I ministered to vulnerable social groups.

My formal training as a behaviorist scientist complemented my experiential formation chiefly with the theories in the domains of psychology. These knowledges have since informed my pedagogical approach in terms of scientific research foundation.

Today, I’m privileged to have curated and conducted over 500 training programmes for 30+ corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, schools and religious orders and benefitting senior management as well as ground staff in over 10 countries.

We’ve been partnering Nick to build psychological safety and trust for our people since 2019.

Through creative and well-designed workshops as well as individual coaching sessions for colleagues, we have seen an improvement in teamwork and engagement by leaders in the past 2 years.

Nick is able to build rapport with colleagues, and is sensitive to team dynamics and developments. He listens well to our needs whenever we engage him and customizes and delivers both face-to-face and virtual workshops with impactful learning points.

Nick has been training Special Olympics Singapore (SOSG) Athlete Leaders in public speaking since 2018. He is engaging in his training and able to build good rapport with our Athlete Leaders, who are people with mild intellectual disabilities. He also goes the extra mile to connect with our Athlete Leaders & give them guidance whenever they need. We are thankful to find a great trainer like him who is compassionate in his service.

Nick trains our blind colleagues in public speaking and facilitation. Subsequently he led some of our blind guides in conducting two corporate training programmes that we jointly developed. Nick went out of his way to tweak his training to cater to the blind, which is not something that many trainers are keen to do. Throughout our engagement with him, his warmth, patience and genuine desire to help our blind staff enhance their skills was evident, which included working with some of them late into the night at times. He has been of great help and support in upskilling our blind colleagues and we look forward to our continued collaboration.
